We invest on production upgrading and technologies improvement, in creating conditions for new productions in compliance with the needs of our clients
In 2003 an ambitious investment plan was started which will fundamentally improve the competitiveness of Agropolychim and which will be the basis for solid future expansion.
The facts
- In January 2003 was acquired a large and efficient storage facility in the port of Varna West, along with installations and infrastructure for materials treatment in bulks. That increased our bulk storage capacity by more than 45.000 t and improving our ship loading rates up to 8.000 t/d.
- The old offices were left for a new and modern 5000 m2 HQ in Devnya in June 2003.
- A 4 million USD energy savings project was implemented and put into operation in June 2003, aiming at improving the performance of the nitrate line. The final result will be substantially lowering the cost of our utilities (water, gas, electricity).
- During 2003-2008 were accomplished number of process improvements in all lines at a total cost of 15 million Euro, thus leading to high reliability of the installations and their capacity.
- In 2009 was completed a new installation for concentration of phosphoric acid up to 54 %, which will allow exporting of phosphoric acid to Balkan and Central European countries. The cost of this investment is 11 million Euro.
- In 2008 was completed an investment at the cost of 14 million Euro which aim was the process provision of a flexible production. With the transformation of TSP Plant it was possible to start new production in compliance with the market needs - MAP and DAP at a rate of 1.100 t/d.
- During 2006-2008 were implemented modern automated process control systems, in parallel with SAP, the high-quality software product for company management.
- In March 2009 was started a project for AN revamping at a cost of over 10 million Euro. The new installation will be put into operation at the end of 2010 and will respond to the latest standards in process, quality and safety.
- It is intended to erect a new water feeding treatment for the production purposes using the utmost modern available reverse osmosis technology.
